5. Record the time you lift the sheet.

6. Look on the sheet and on the ground. Some of you could look for particular creatures, e.g., just woodlice and record that. Some creatures may be very difficult to count, just do your best.

7. Many of the creatures will move away quite quickly. Have containers like jam jars ready but don't harm any creatures that can't be caught easily, just let them escape.
8. When you have recorded everything, let any creatures go. Then fill in and send us the results form.
